Clear Fork Resort, along with United States of Ohio Productions, will be presenting Frostbite: 2014 Music and Winter Sports Festival on Saturday, February 15.
USSA ski races will be kicking the day off. This will feature a few of the nation’s top skiers. There will also be entertaining dual-slalom races. Heading into the evening, there will be a Big Air and Mini Big Air Competition.
Clear Fork Resort Event Coordination and Group Sales Cora Lyon-Eberhardt explained that this gives some of the region’s best riders an opportunity to highlight their aerial abilities to the judges. The judges will include Matt Argo from Aspen Ski & Board, KJ Hartwick coming from Las Vegas, Nevada who is owner of Good Head Beer, and Brandt Jarvis who is a skiing/boarding enthusiast, along with the audience members.
Competitors participating in the Mini Big Air are required to be 12 and under. Medals will be awarded to those participants who place first, second, or third in two separate classes regarding skiing and boarding. Competitors with Big Air must be 13 or older and those competitors will be awarded cash prizes for classes in skiing and boarding in first, second, and third.
From 5-7 p.m., there will be a beer tasting in the upper lounge and the outdoor area will have beverages available beginning at 5 p.m.
A light show and live music begin starting at 9 p.m. The live music will begin with Cleveland 96.5 KISS FM’s EV, who fans might know from his work as the official DJ for Mike Posner and Machine Gun Kelly.
The event will also feature fireworks sponsored by Good Head Beer. The show will begin when turntablist and VH1 Master of the Mix winner Jayceeoh will highlight the evening beginning at 10:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at Clear Fork Resort or at www.flavorus.com/frostbite. Event passes, which provide access to the resort to watch activities and concerts, but does not include the purchase of a lift ticket. For presale, it will cost $15 and the day of the event $20.
Lift passes to ski or snowboard for the day will cost $46 to those 13 and older and $36 to those 12 and younger. Lift passes to Northern Lights Tubing Park for those 13 and older will include a four hour pass for $30 and a two hour pass for $22. For those 12 and under, a four pass will be $20 and a two hour pass will be $11.
