“This is a celebration for the Cardiac Program and all of their hard work,” said MedCentral Health System Director of Physician Recruitment and Public Relations Robin Schiffer. MedCentral’s Heart to Heart Gala takes place this Saturday.
The event highlights the excellence in heart care through the MedCentral Heart and Vascular Institute and will be held at the Kehoe Center in Shelby on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
The Mansfield hospital has much to celebrate. MedCentral’s Cardiac Program was ranked at the top for cardiac surgery. Additionally, MedCentral Mansfield Hospital was recognized for quality in cardiac care through Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
For eight years in a row, MedCentral Health System’s heart surgery program has been awarded the CPM Healthgrades Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award. The hospital also earned a Blue Distinction Center for providing quality cardiac care with part of the Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care program.
The Heart to Heart Gala will include guests wearing formal attire. “The men will wear suits with red ties and the women will wear cocktail dresses. It is what we call a “Red-Tie Event,” said Schiffer. This event serves as a fundraiser for the cardiac unit.
The event will feature disc jockey, a cash bar, silent auction, and food for those attending the gala.
Schiffer said that there about 250 guests that attended the gala last year and this year, that number is expected to grow. “Every year the number of people who attend the gala has grown tremendously. We are very pleased with the response to this event,” said Schiffer.
Red Tie Patron tickets, which include cocktail hour and gala entry, are $55 each or $100 per couple. Gala only tickets are $40 each or $70 per couple. Tickets can be purchased online at www.medcentral.org or call Public Relations at 419-526-8998.
