Join MedCentral’s Healthy Chef on a culinary trip to the Mediterranean as the flavor and nutritional value of some of the world’s most exotic meals are showcased during a cooking demonstration on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The latest in MedCentral’s Healthy Chef Cooking Series will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center, 1750 W. Fourth St., Mansfield.

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Sign up by Feb. 5 by calling 419-526-8900.

MedCentral is also offering health screenings, including blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. 

MedCentral Health System is offering three sessions of blood pressure screenings and one session of blood sugar screenings in February. All are free and open to the public. Blood pressure screenings will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the MedCentral Health & Fitness Center, 1750 W. Fourth St., Ontario and on Friday, Feb. 14, 9-11 a.m. at MedCentral/Shelby Hospital Surgery Center.

Blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be offered Wednesday, Feb. 19, 9 a.m.-noon at Mansfield Hospital lobby, 335 Glessner Ave. An eight-hour fast is recommended for blood sugar screenings.

The MedCentral Health & Fitness Center will offer cholesterol screenings (lipid profiles) Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 7 to 11 a.m.

The cost is $18 per screening and it is open to the public. A 12-hour fast is recommended for the most accurate results.

No registration is necessary. The Fitness Center is located in the MedCentral Wellness Complex, 1750 W. Fourth St., Ontario. For more information, call 419-526-8900.
