The Plymouth Big Red hosted the St. Peter’s Spartans for a Jan. 14 matchup. Dynamic duo Tyson Beebe and Tyrell Edmiston combined for 46 points to power their team to a 72-67 win.
The non-conference matchup had no shortage of scoring.
Spartans junior Adam Blunk put up 18 points for St. Peter’s. Junior wing Michael Berick. Sophomore David Hall added 14 points.
For the Big Red, Beebe and Edmiston have both had stellar junior campaigns and Tuesday night was no exception. The athletic Edmiston put up 26 points and ripped down 15 of his team’s 24 total rebounds. Beebe poured in 20 from the point and teammate Dodge Collins added 11.
The battle in the paint was a close one Plymouth picked up 24 rebounds to St. Peter’s 22. Turnover margins were equally close with team totals reaching 14-12 in Plymouth’s favor.
Up next the Firelands frontrunner Plymouth will head to New London for a Jan. 17 matchup. St. Peter’s will also play again in a Friday MBC match at Lucas.
