Friday, Jan. 3, will see a string of adjustments for local high school basketball. Junior varsity games are normally played at 6 p.m. and followed by 7:30 p.m. varsity matchups. Coming off the holidays, times will adjust by an hour in most cases.
The big showdown in the valley will see Clear Fork host Lexington. Junior varsity game time is at 5:00 p.m. and varsity follows at 6:30 p.m.
Mansfield Christian athletic director Doug Taylor announced that the Flames’ junior varsity basketball game will start at 5 p.m. on Jan 3. Varsity is slated to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Similarly, the Mansfield Tygers junior varsity road game with Orrville will start at 5 p.m. on Friday. Varsity will follow at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Ontario will hit the road versus Columbian. Boys junior varsity begins at 4:30 p.m. and varsity follows at 6:00 p.m.
The Big Red of Plymouth will host South Central at 5 p.m. (JV) and 6:30 p.m. (varsity).
Lucas travel to Danville at 4:30 p.m. (JV) and 6 p.m. (Varsity).
Temple Christian and New Day Academy have canceled their Friday night contest. The Crusaders will host an informal team versus staff and coaches night instead.
Speaking of game times and if you haven’t heard, Ohio State and Clemson will face off in the Orange Bowl will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
