The night of Dec. 23 saw a one-sided match at the Franciscan Activity Center. The St Peter’s Lady Spartans topped the Mansfield Christian Lady Flames 48-16.
The teams ended the first frame with the St Peter’s leading with a 9-6 edge, but second half saw a scoring burst that would characterize the rest of the game. The Lady Spartans put up 17 points in the second quarter to go into the half 26-8.
The Flames never put up more than 6 points in a single quarter and finished with 16.
The hosting Lady Spartans saw Della Hall put up 11 points and 6 rebounds. Liza Jones added 10 points and a rebound. Autumn Scodova added 5 points.
For Mansfield Christian Mariah Stearns with 6 points and 4 rebounds. Addie Daugherty added 4 points. Emily Smith pulled down a game high 8 rebounds.
