Over 110 Richland Bank employees gathered for their monthly Good Morning Staff Meeting at the Kroger’s on Lexington Avenue to have some fun and help out a local organization.

“Each year around the Christmas season, our associates want to do something special for our community,” said John Brown, Richland Bank President. “This year is no different. We have done everything from care packages to our troops to cleaning supplies to Parent Aid. This year, we came up with the idea to revamp the old game show Supermarket Sweep and donate the collect food to The Friendly House since they are such an important part of our community.”

The names of six associates were drawn and paired into three groups. Each group had a list of 15 Kroger brand items that they were to find and grab three of each. They were only allowed six minutes and had to answer two banking questions before they were allowed to take off.

The three teams collected close to 100 items for The Friendly House. In addition, Richland Bank presented Friendly House Director Terry Conard with a $150 gift card to Kroger’s.

“The need this time of year is always great,” stated Terry Conard. “This will help families in our communities put food on their tables. The enthusiasum of the Richland Bank employees today has been amazing.”
