David Metzger hasĀ 10 years combined experience in Ontario City Council and as council president serving on and chairing all standing committees: personnel,finance, utilities, economic development, parks, and former building and grounds.
He performing mayorial responsibilities in the mayor’s absence, including Mayors Court.
His commitment to the citizens of Ontario are as follows:
Devote my energies to establish goodwill among our citizens
Work to bring honor and respect to Ontario and bring people and families together, forging a long term relationship for the betterment of the City of Ontario
Ensure our future growth by stressing our most valuable resources, specifically our school system, workforce, family values, continual infrastructure improvements, parks, and location, to attract new business, industry and health care facilities to our community

Establish an open door policy where all our citizens can voice their opinions, concerns and issues
Create a positive environment to solve municipal problems
Metzger, a 32 year resident of Ontario is a past volunteer in Ontario Youth Sports, Cub master pack 172, Ontario Growth Association, Ontario 50th celebration, and Richland County Children services.
He and his wife, Becky, have three sons:Ā David (Kendra) Derek (Jessica) and Ian Stumbo; and grandaughter, Kalinn. grandsons, Parker, Brayden, one on the way.
