After five sets, the #3 Madison Lady Rams volleyball squad are 2013 district champions. Madison defeated Norwalk Truckers in their district final match on Saturday.
Set scores went 25-18, 24-26, 12-25, 26-24, 15-10
Lots of Lady Rams filled up the stat sheet. Kamilla Brown led the charge with 22 kills and 10 digs. At the net, Mekaila Grose put down 16 kills.
Complementing the Rams’ air assault was lots of great play from the floor. Katie Wagner had 46 assists and 15 digs. Chase Carper had 41 digs and Ali Brown added 26 digs
Madison’s season record moves to 24-2. The squad competes next in regional tournament play against Padua on Thursday at Ontario.
As the Lady Rams resume tournament play on Thursday, the Rams’ freshmen and junior varsity football team will move their game with Mansfield up to Wednesday.
The freshmen team will begin their game at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the junior varsity game.
