Mansfield Senior, put a scare in Anthony Wayne before falling 3-0 in a Division I district semifinal match Wednesday at Findlay. The Tygers and Generals were tied 0-0 with about 27 minutes left in the game.
Anthony Wayne (14-0-4), ranked No. 2 in Division I in the final Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association state poll, will play another OCC member for a district title at 7 p.m. Saturday at Findlay. Ashland knocked off Sylvania Northview 2-1 in a sudden death shootout in Wednesday’s early game at Findlay.
Mansfield Senior finished the season at 11-4-3, matching a school record for wins in a single season.
