“Last year we had great success with the Fall Festival. We had between 300-400 children that were in attendance taking part in the many activities that were offered,” said Ontario Growth Association (OGA) President, Dave Yaney.
On Saturday, October 26 the Richland Mall will host the OGA’s Community Fall Festival that is completely free to the public. The event will take place from 12-5 p.m. The entire festival will be taking place inside of the Richland Mall with a wide variety of activities.
“Air inflatable’s will be available from 12-5 p.m. We also are planning on having a magician that will also be performing balloon sculpting that will last from 1-4 p.m. There will be an eating contest that begins at 2 p.m. For the eating contest, Rooster’s will be providing wings. Beginning at 2:30 p.m., there will be a costume contest. Trick or treating will begin at 3 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Stores within the Richland Mall will be passing out candy and there will be tables set up that will be passing out candy, too. Carnival games will also be available throughout the day. All of the prizes will be free,” said Yaney.
Yaney praised the sponsors that have helped make the Community Fall Festival possible. “The Richland Mall has been excellent to work with. They have helped pay for some of the costs for this event. Without their help, this wouldn’t be possible. Fireside Homes and Excavating is another sponsor that has been a tremendous help. I am very thankful for what they have done,” said Yaney.
This is the first year that the festival will be free of cost to the public. “We wanted to make it free this year because it is not about making a profit from the event. This is our way of giving back to the community for showing support towards the festival,” said Yaney.
