The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Violent Crimes Impact Team (VCIT) and Richland County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau, with K-9 Unit assistance arrested three fugitives at the 200 block of Abbeyfeale Road Mansfield, Chelsea Square Apartments, on Wednesday.
Taken into custody were James L. Yelton, a black male, 26, for a Fail to Appear Warrant; Devonte C. Thompson, a black male, 23, for a Fail to Appear and Trafficking in Drugs (Heroin); and Travon D. Johnson, a black male, 21, for a Fail to Appear Warrant
The investigation was conducted by VCIT team member Deputy Stacy Dittrich and the Ohio Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Office.
Upon making the apprehensions deputies discovered drugs in plain sight. A search warrant was signed by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Frank Ardis. The search warrant was executed at the location and illegal prescription pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and counterfeited Motion Pictures Industry DVD’s were seized.
