Scarlet and Gray Tire and Brake Center is officially open for business. Owner, Tom Stupi has owned a trucking company terminal and wanted to start his own business to create another tire supplier for customers.

“I decided to call Goodyear and wanted to join a tire dealer and go through sales and the full range of offering tires. I also wanted to include farm supplies along with this business. I wanted to make sure that I hired someone that had experience with farming tools because I am not as experienced with that specific line of work. I hired someone that has 14 years experience,” said Stupi.

The range of services covers tires, brakes, shocks, service truck alignments, oil changes, and farm and fleet. “There is a 24 hour service line and truck that is available in cases of emergency, because we realize that farm equipment or any transportation can get a flat at any time of the night, so we want to be available,” said Stupi.

Stupi praised the level of support he has received. “The community has been absolutely wonderful. The Industrial Park has been great with allowing us to post signs showing customers where we are located,” said Stupi. “We have tried to keep everything local. We have worked with Cain Graphics and Screen Printing and Shelby Printing because we also want to support the local businesses here in Shelby,” he added.

Stupi also wanted to offer another perk to his customers. “I wanted to offer free pickup and delivery of a vehicle. If your oil light comes on when you are at work, just give us a call and we will come and pick your vehicle up for free and return it to you,” said Stupi.

Scarlet and Gray Tire and Brake Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. and is located at 89 Sikorski Drive near the Central Ohio Industrial Park in Shelby. The 24 hour service number is 419-961-8615. For more information, call 419-342-TIRE.
