I have lived in Ward 1 for 29 years and raised my family in Shelby. I want to bring accessible and accountable leadership to city council. I pledge to serve with courtesy and common sense. I value our children and senior citizens equally while respecting persons of all income levels. I believe in practicing good stewardship of taxpayer dollars and monitoring all city expenses.
It would be an honor and privilege to represent Ward 1 again. My concerns will be those brought to me by my constituents. My own personal concerns are blighted homes and commercial buildings; developing and implementing plans to minimize flooding; building a facility for the fire department; and keeping our bridges, streets, alleys, and sidewalks in good shape.
I was previously elected City Council for four years (2006-2009) and on the City Planning Commission for three years (2010-2012).
