“An Apple a Day 5K” will take place at Springhill Fruit Farm, located on 5646 Ganges Five Points Road in Shiloh, on Sunday, Nov. 3. The 5K is open to the public and participants can choose to run or walk the event.
If a participant registers late, a race shirt is not guaranteed. Race day registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the race begins at 1 p.m. After the race is completed, an awards ceremony will take place at 2 p.m.
Awards will be distributed to the top male and female in the event and the top two in each age group. The age groups include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Proceeds from the event will go towards the American Cancer Society.
