A fire broke out in a Park Avenue West business late Tuesday evening. No cause has been determined and the blaze was contained.
When asked about the extent of the damage, Mansfield Fire Department Assistant Chief Chris Speelman described it as minor.
The fire started on the interior of the building and spread to the exterior. “As you can see, it looks like it’s contained between those two front windows, ” Speelman said, motioning toward the charred portions on the face of the building.
He added that the fire had been mostly contained as of 9:55 p.m.
The building at the corner of Helen Avenue and Park Avenue West contains several tenants including Glass House and a hair salon. An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is not yet complete.
