Up-and-coming contemporary Christian band Rapture Ruckus paid a visit to Mansfield in a Saturday night concert.
“The concert was amazing,” said Doug Taylor, athletic administrator and key organizer for the concert said.
Mansfield Christian has been putting on concerts to benefit the school for the past 5 years. The events have pulled in a variety of popular Christian bands with concerts from For King & Country, Sanctus Real, Chasen, and Remedy Drive. The latest concert in the series pulled in an estimated 225 viewers.
“I really enjoy bringing Christian artists in to Mansfield,” Taylor said of the concerts. He also noted that he enjoyed the way the event that brought together a variety of young people from area churches.
The band’s stop in Mansfield preceded their Tuesday launch of their fan-funded music video and upcoming tour with top Christian band, The Newsboys.
