The United Way of Richland County is making headway in its 93rd annual campaign, quadrupling the previous year’s numbers at this time from $53,000 to its current standing of $234,277.36.
“We’re very excited about the start we’re off to. It tells me about the community’s enthusiasm and their willingness to give could,” said Executive Director Bob Maxey “We could not do what we do without the support from the community, and we don’t typically get this far ahead in the campaign, so it’s exciting to see all of the support given.”
The latest numbers reflect 14 percent of the overall goal: $1,650,000.
While the funds have been raised from various sources, Campaign Director Barb Crider noted that much of the funds have been donated by individuals.
Anyone can donate by visiting the United Way’s website.
Moreover, all are welcome to attend the mid-campaign breakfast on Nov. 14 at 7:15 a.m. at the Eisenhower building at The Ohio State University at Mansfield (OSU-Mansfield)/North Central State College (NCSC) Campus. Dr. Steve Gavazzi, Dean and Director at OSU-Mansfield, and Dr. Dorey Diab, NCSC President, will be the keynote speakers.
