JV Cubs played the Redbirds Thursday night in a close home game. Highlights of the game included several good hits from the middle with No. 3 Freshman Makayla Strassell landing 5 or 6 kills.
“Another stronger hitter tonight was Courtney Harriss,” said JV Coach Sarah Besenti. Harriss and Strassell both freshman are team captains of the junior varsity girls volleyball team. Coach Besenti credited several players with strong assists and digs including Freshman Alex Depue and Sophomore Autumn Wagner.
“We are off to a great season,” said Besenti. “We have a good group of girls.”
