Downtown Mansfield, Inc. (DMI) has been selected to host the first ever PechaKucha Series in Mansfield! The first of four PechaKucha Nights will be held on Friday, September 27 at Relax, It’s Just Coffee. The evening will begin at 5:30pm, refreshments will be available for contribution and entertainment will be offered. PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format in which presenters show 20 images, each for 20 seconds that automatically advance.
Currently, DMI is looking for presenters for this unique opportunity to share your project ideas, development concepts, programming, community visioning, product ideas, arts project or anything one is passionate about! The unique PechaKucha Nights environment leads to a more interesting approach to sharing ideas and the hope is that by sharing a variety of ideas with a cross section of the community, organic development growth for ideas and projects can spread.
The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture. The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in their gallery/lounge/bar/club/creative kitchen, Super Deluxe, in February 2003. Klein Dytham architecture still organize and support the global PechaKucha Night network and organize PechaKucha Night Tokyo.
