The Clear Fork Colts Girls Varsity soccer team went on the road and fell to Akron’s Archbishop Hoban High School by a score of 3-1.

Archbishop Hoban went into the half with a lead of 1-0, and added two in the second half.

Sophomore Jordyne Helinski added the lone goal for the Colts with an assist from Ali Johnson, a senior. That would be the only time Clear Fork found the back of the net.

Archbishop Hoban pelted 19 shots on goal to Clear Fork’s 5. Junior Goalkeeper Morgan Bailey picked up 10 saves for the Colts while keeper Madeline Diestel would save two on Archbishop Hoban’s behalf.

The Colts season record stands at 2-1-0 now. Archbishop Hoban improves to 5-0-1.

Up next, the Clear Fork squad heads to the Labor Day Showcase at River View High School in Warsaw.
