“We saw a lot of potential in the building, we felt it really fit our needs,” said Jaime Feick, CEO of Mid-Ohio Tubing,LLC. Located in the old Hi-Lo building at 145 West Elm Street, Butler, the industrial tubing manufacturing plant officially opened on August 2 but was publicly unveiled August 29. Mayor of Butler Kevin Carr and council member Raymond Swank were in attendance to welcome the new business.

Feick and Wayne Riffe, President of Mid-Ohio Tubing had scouted a number of industrial sites in and around the Mansfield area. But once they toured the building in Butler, it became apparent the facility fit their needs. “We feel at home here,” said Feick.

”I love coming to work,” said Riffe. The renovations began May 1 which included removing some walls and creating office space.

The company manufactures steel tubing in an assortment of shapes such as square, round and rectangle tubing that may be utilized in a variety of industries.

Mayor Carr commented on the positive changes the Village of Butler has recently experienced with first the new Dollar General Store opening the same week. “Business breeds business,” Carr said. “Great changes for a great town.” Carr expressed his appreciation for the business the jobs they have brought and their commitment to the village.
