June 18, 2013 was easily the most significant day in the short history of Richland Source. After six months of planning and incubation at MT Business Technologies, that warm summer morning was the day Richland Source began publishing a new brand of community news.

Energized by an optimistic editorial mandate to report the news with an emphasis on how our community manages and overcomes their challenges, our staff hit the streets to discover and report on the people, businesses, and events that make Richland County a great place to live. Not surprisingly, we found a wellspring of support and inspiration.

And now, just two months in, we are rapidly approaching our next milestone. Late this week, the staff of Richland Source will walk through the door to our permanent offices in downtown Mansfield, crack open our laptops, and get down to business. We will work in a modern and collaborative space designed to welcome visitors and honor our region’s unique rural and industrial heritage.  Richland Source will occupy two levels at 21 Temple Court (next to the license bureau), off of Mansfield’s North Main Street.

We should be completely operational by Monday, August 26. Office hours are from 8-5 on weekdays. The coffee is usually ready by 8:30 a.m. and visitors are always welcome. Stop by and say hello.
