St. Peter’s welcomed new associate pastor Father Jeremy Miller in early July. Father Miller, who was ordained on June 22, has a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Xavier University and completed his training at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary.
Father Miller was born in Akron, but moved at six months, and was raised in Marblehead, on the coast of Lake Erie. Outside his ministry, Father Jeremy enjoys the guitar, reading and sports.
“My role,” stated Father Miller, “as the associate pastor will be to assist Fr. Hite in caring for the pastoral needs of the parish. I will continue much of the work of Fr. Tom McQuillen who did such a sensational job in Mansfield. I look forward to meeting the people of St. Peter’s and the greater Mansfield community, and helping them in any way that I can.”
When asked about his calling, Father Jeremy responded. “Pope John Paul II said, “The world looks to the priest, because it looks to Jesus. No one can see Christ; but everyone sees the priest, and through him they wish to catch a glimpse of the Lord.” What a beautiful vocation! If I am privileged to be called to this noble vocation, may I respond generously and faithfully.”
