With the severe flooding that has occurred in Richland County, State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) would like to make any affected citizens aware of the local resources that are available to them.
The Richland County Organization for Disaster Assistance (CODA), in conjunction with First Call 2-1-1, provides volunteer, financial, spiritual, physical, and/or psychological support for residents whose lives have been affected by a disaster. CODA may be reached by calling 2-1-1 or (419) 566-7392.
The American Red Cross’s Richland County Chapter also provides disaster relief services and may be reached at (419) 524-0311.
In addition, Shelby residents can call the Shelby Helpline Ministries for assistance at (419) 347-6307.
“This is a difficult time for many of our neighbors in Richland County, and we need to pull together as a community and look out for one another,” said Rep. Romanchuk. “There are many local organizations that stand ready to offer disaster relief services and support for those who are affected. Those with questions about the resources available to them may also contact my office and I would be happy to assist them.”
Residents of Richland County who are in need of assistance are welcome to contact Rep. Romanchuk’s office directly by calling (614) 466-5802 or Rep02@ohiohouse.gov.
