Mixblues Specialty Sauces is gearing up for the Rock –n- Ribs Festival this week. They have been manufacturing their Specialty Sauces for over 10 years and have been a part of Rock –n-Ribs for the past 4 years. Though they are not willing to share all of their secret recipes, we did get the recipe for their Southern Style Coleslaw that goes on their pulled pork sandwiches.

Mixblues Southern Style Coleslaw |

1 bag of fine cut coleslaw with carrots 1 onion finely diced 1 green pepper finely diced 2/3 of an 8 oz. jar of T. Marzetti Slaw Dressing 2 dashes of Accent (MSG) Mix slaw, onion, green pepper and Accent. Add Slaw dressing until your desired moisture level is reached Add to taste: Salt, Sugar, Black Pepper, and Dried Chives Mix/Stir well and refrigerate for a few hours. Keep it chill and serve with a smile. |

Now for the sandwich! Layer a large portion of slow-roasted, hand-pulled pork onto the bun. (Mixblues uses a large buttery ciabatta wrap.) Add a big spoonful of Mixblues Southern Style Coleslaw on top. Squeeze on some of your favorite Mixblues Specialty Sauce, Everything Sauce, Sweet and Tangy BBQ or Cajun Teriyaki Put the top bun on and sink your teeth in! |
