Ontario City Council met in regular session Friday evening and announced that there is a potential buyer interested in land at the Industrial Park. It was also noted that Ohio State University-Mansfield (OSU-M) plans for new construction on the campus. And Mayor Larry Collins presented a list of concerts that will be taking place in July and August.

Councilman Mark Weidemyre announced a potential buyer interested in purchasing land in the Industrial Park. The Industrial Park is located 850 Beer Rd., Ontario.

“We discussed terms and conditions of the sale and we agreed to draft a response to the letter we received and we will see where it goes from there.” Further detail on this response will be announced at future council meetings.

Mayor Larry Collins reported that OSU-M will be developing new construction on the campus. A meeting will be held prior to the first council meeting in August to discuss the OSU-M plans.

A list of concerts occurring in Marshall Park from July to August was presented by Collins.

“We are ready to go for July 19 and be there yourselves to enjoy,” said Collins. The first concert will take place on Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m. The concert that will be presented will be Northwest Territory Bluegrass. In case of rain, concerts will be held at the Ontario Middle School on 447 Shelby-Ontario Road.
