On Jan. 14, 2022, Larry Rogers passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida of health complications. He was 72 years of age.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife Gail Rogers, father Arden L. Rogers and his mother Mary E. Rogers.

Larry, is survived by his brother Danny G. Rogers of Louisiana, also is survived by daughter, Lynn Temme and her husband, Matt Temme of Bellville, Ohio, daughter, Sandy Ewers and her husband Ed Ewers and granddaughter Kira Ewers of Mansfield, Ohio, son Heath Rogers and grandchildren Lilly Rogers and Corbin Rogers, of Mansfield, Ohio.

Larry was born on June 14, 1949 in Mansfield. He graduated from Northmor High School.

After graduating, Larry joined the Air National Guard where he went in to Technical Training for Aircraft Mechanics and Graduated to be an Aircraft Techinition. Larry went on to make a lot of close lifelong friends and excel his career and made Tech Sargent at the 179th Airlift Wing. Larry was often required travel around the world which he embraced and made lots of memories that he still enjoyed reminiscing.

In his younger years, Larry enjoyed being outdoors helping with the family owned saw mill, where he learned some very handy wood working skills, fishing and hanging out with family and friends. Larry enjoyed his job, hanging out with friends and fixing the unfixable he loved to figure out problems.

Larry was also so a proud member of the 179th Air National Guard Rifle League, N.C.O Club, V.F.W, Eagles, The American Legion and The local Color Guard.

Larry’s proudest accomplishment was his family. Larry was very proud of his two daughters and son.

Larry was always the first to tackle projects and loved problem solving with machinery and various other things. Larry was also there to lend a helping hand to his friends and family and was always made the best of any situation.

A Celebration of Life will be planned in the early summer for family and friends to attend location and date will be announced in the near future.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to The National Military Family Association for other Military families in need.
