Kathelyn Joyce Atwater-Doneghy, 82, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Ohio Health, Mansfield. She was born on December 11, 1943, in Hemphill, West Virginia, to Leon and Essie N. (Scales) Helm.
Kathelyn worked as a health care provider and licensed reflexologist, helping family and friends. A lifelong member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses on Middle Bellville Road, she enjoyed sharing and teaching the scriptures with others. She had a compassionate heart and enjoyed caring for others.
Traveling the world was always a highlight as she enjoyed trips to Europe, Africa, and South America.
She is survived by her dearly loved husband of ten years, Dennis Doneghy; children, Angela (Richard) Grimes and Suzanne Atwater; sister, Marva Morris; granddaughter, Essence Atwater; great-granddaughter, Soleia Atwater, and many cherished family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Vincent Atwater; son, Nathan Atwater; brother, Clayton Helm, and brother-in-law, James Morris.
A memorial service will be held on March 28, 2026, 2:00PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1780 Middle Bellville Rd., Mansfield, OH 44904. Inurnment will be held at Mansfield Cemetery.
