Anthony Joseph Ten Barge died peacefully in his sleep with family in attendance.

Tony, the son of Alice Vaught Ten Barge, and Ivan Ten Barge, was born in Haubstadt, Indiana. He graduated from Morehead State and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was risk and insurance manager for numerous public and private corporations throughout his 45 year career. As a history buff, primarily the Civil War and World Wars I and II, it was a lifelong wish to reside in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he lived for 15 years before moving to Mansfield, Ohio to be closer to family. While in Gettysburg, he served on the Adams County library board, The Eisenhower Society, and several other historical preservation societies. He also was a docent at the Eisenhower Homestead. He taught briefly at Gettysburg College and was the owner of Battlefields and Beyond bookstore in Gettysburg.

Tony is survived by his son, Michael James Ten Barge of Mansfield, Ohio, his sisters Elizabeth (Bob) Turner of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Merrilee (Jeff) Brown of Jupiter, Florida. He also had five nieces, Jessica, Ashley, Catie, Emily and Sophia, their spouses and children.

Graveside services will be held in the spring on a later date.
