Judith Dale Lumpkin Lock, lovingly known as Judy, age 84 of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Judy was born March 18, 1941, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Herbert Eugene and Clara Erline (Jones) Lumpkin.

On February 14, 1959, Judy married George Lock, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith and service. Judy faithfully followed his calling. As a devoted pastor’s wife, she supported churches wherever they were called to serve – cleaning church buildings, organizing meals, and lovingly caring for children in the nursery. Her quiet dedication and servant’s heart touched many congregations over the years. In addition to her church service, Judy also worked for many years as a bank teller. Judy was a loving mother who raised two children, Michael and Karen, and she opened her home and heart to many foster children, offering care, stability, and compassion. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond people – she had deep love for animals and always shared her home with a beloved dog or cat for as long as she was able.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Tim) Campbell of Mansfield; her sister Paula Presley of Missouri; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a special foster son Jeffrey Doucette; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband George Lock; her son Michael Lock; her daughter-in-law Kim Lock; and her brother Tom Lumpkin.

Judy will be remembered for her steadfast faith, gentle spirit, generous heart, and a life marked by humble service to God and others.

The family would like to thank the staff of Arbors at Mifflin for their wonderful care and love shown towards Judy during her stay there.
