MANSFIELD – The Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society Inc. recently purchased property at 200 Distribution Drive from Engwiller Properties LLC for $1 million.

Dan Smith, associate director at the Ohio State Reformatory, said there are no immediate plans for the building.

“We are hoping to make plans for it and there will eventually be stuff in talks for the future,” Smith said. “I believe there is still a tenant in the building.”

The Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society is always looking for opportunities to expand, he said.

Edge Plastics Inc. currently leases the Distribution Drive property for storage and will continue to operate at the location, according to shipping manager Tyler Manchester.
