ONTARIO — The Ontario Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting Sunday in the area of Lexington-Springmill Road and U.S. 30.
Officers responded to the incident and took the suspected shooter into custody without further incident. The individual who was shot was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called to assist Ontario police. This remains an active and ongoing investigation and no additional details are available at this time, according to an emailed press release from OPD.
