MANSFIELD – In the spirit of community and compassion, Grace Episcopal Church and Pantry will hold its annual Christmas Food Distribution on Dec. 22 and 23.

This vital event aims to ensure that families in need can celebrate the Christmas season with dignity and nourishment.

Distribution Dates and Times

  • Monday, Dec. 22: 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 23: 9 to 11 a.m.

Please note, the pantry will be closed for food distribution on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Grace Food Pantry stands as a beacon of hope, serving as the largest pantry between Cleveland and Columbus within the Cleveland Food Bank Distribution Area.

Each week, we assist over 500 families, allowing our guests to choose their own food items – from fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and breads to canned goods and sweets.

This choice empowers our patrons, respecting their dignity and individuality.

Fr. Christopher D. Hofer emphasizes the importance of this approach.

“At Grace Episcopal Church and Pantry, we believe in embracing all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances,” Hofer said. “By providing the option for our guests to select their meals, we honor their dignity and support them on their often challenging journeys.”

As we reflect on the season of giving, it is crucial to recognize the ongoing needs within our community. After the holidays, the challenges will only increase, with anticipated cuts in SNAP (food stamps), Medicare, and Medicaid.

This will force many families to make tough decisions between buying food, paying bills, or purchasing essential medications.

Grace Episcopal Church and Pantry is committed to supporting our guests through these difficult times, offering a cushion to help carry them through.

We kindly welcome donations of cash, checks, and credit cards. Your contributions are invaluable and greatly appreciated.
