Michael A. Henry, age 76 of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Avita Health System Ontario Hospital after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was born on May 30, 1949, in Mansfield to the late Robert E. and Anna R. (Rogers) Henry.
Michael worked for the Mansfield Lahm Airport, and during that time, he became a volunteer firefighter in Springfield Township. He then went on to work for Rockwell, and most recently, he worked as a mechanic for Newman Tech. He was a very religious man. He prayed every day, and he enjoyed sitting out on his porch and watching the birds.
He is survived by his children Michael (Josh) Henry and Crystal (Bob) Eldridge; his brothers Roger (Hazel Harper) Henry and Ron (Angie Hoptry) Henry; his grandchildren Alexis, Hailey, and Corbin Eldridge; his ex-wife Kathleen Orewiler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Anna Henry.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Caleb Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
