GALION — The Galion Kiwanis Club is thrilled to announce the success of its annual Pancake Day, which drew an incredible turnout from the community and raised over $3,200 to support local youth programs — surpassing last year’s totals by a wide margin.

This year, the club introduced a new corporate sponsorship opportunity, offering three giving levels that allowed local businesses to partner in Kiwanis’ mission of serving the children of the community.
The response was outstanding, with sponsors contributing more than $1,300 toward the event.
Flapjack ($100 Level): Firelands, Bowlin Real Estate, Gompf Funeral Service, Park National, Hempy Water Short Stack ($250 Level): First Federal, Cochran & Associates, CSI Insurance, GBL Bank (GBL Bank also generously covered the cost of tickets, placemats, and other event supplies.).
In addition, raffle donations from Carrie’s Venue, Cleaning by Carrie, Galion Family Health Center, Galion Community Theater, Ole Dog’s Coffee, Raven’s Cloak Reiki & Treasures, and Three Bean Coffee House helped raise additional funds while giving attendees a chance to win local prizes.
“We’re beyond grateful for the outpouring of community support,” said Carrie Cottrell, Galion Kiwanis President. “Every pancake served helps us make a difference in the lives of children right here in Galion — whether it’s through scholarships, youth activities, or service projects. This event truly shows what happens when a community comes together.”
Proceeds from Pancake Day will directly benefit Kiwanis programs that support and empower local youth throughout the year.
