MANSFIELD – The Renaissance Performing Arts Association is delighted to present “She Loves Me,” a timeless musical comedy filled with romance, charm, and wit that opens Friday, November 14, at Theatre 166.

Performances will run over three weekends through Sunday, November 30. The production is part of Christmas at the Ren presented by Brightspeed.

Set in a 1930s European perfumery, “She Loves Me” follows Georg and Amalia, two shop clerks who clash daily at work while unknowingly falling in love as anonymous pen pals. Their spirited rivalry collides with their heartfelt letters, creating delightful misunderstandings, tender revelations, and an unforgettable happily-ever-after.

With a stunning score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, the Tony Award-winning team behind Fiddler on the Roof, the musical features beloved numbers such as “Vanilla Ice Cream” and “She Loves Me.”

Brimming with witty banter, lovable characters, and a touch of holiday magic, this enchanting production promises to warm hearts and lift spirits.

Director Michael Thomas shared his excitement about the production:

“’She Loves Me’ is often referred to as ‘a perfect jewel box of a musical,’ which makes it an ideal choice for the intimate environs of Theatre 166,” Thomas said.

“The show, a sublime mixture of romance, farce, lyrical music, and choreography, has all the bang of a large-scale musical, combined with the charm and hilarity of a small cast production. And its Christmas theme is the perfect way to ring in the holidays.”
