MANSFIELD — Richland Public Health, in collaboration with Avita Health Systems, Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, and Third Street Family Health Services will host a FREE Community Health Day on Oct. 17 at Richland Public Health located at 555 Lexington Ave. Mansfield.
The event will feature free/low cost health screenings as well as resources, education, and giveaways from numerous local organizations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The health screenings and other activities provided by local healthcare experts and community partners include:
- Mammograms.
- Skin cancer screenings.
- Lung cancer screenings.
- Vision screenings from Walmart.
- HIV and Hepatitis C testing.
- Blood pressure checks.
- Hemoglobin checks.
- Free produce, bread, etc. from Grace Episcopal Church & Pantry.
- Free cooking demonstrations, recipes, and samples from IdeaWorks Kitchen.
- Goodie bags loaded with resources and freebies.
- Vaccines: Flu, COVID, Pneumonia, Shingles, MMR, Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, Chicken Pox, and Meningitis.
- Reduced fee blood screens from 9 a.m. to noon for: PSA $25, A1C $30, CBC $30, Vitamin D $30, TSH $15, and Cholesterol $12.
All screenings are on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, mammograms and cancer screenings can be scheduled ahead of time to guarantee an appointment.
