New Philadelphia overcame a spirited challenge and rallied for a 45-26 win against Mansfield at Mansfield High on Sept. 19 in Ohio football action.

The start wasn’t the problem for Mansfield, as it began with a 6-0 edge over New Philadelphia through the end of the first quarter.

The scoreboard showed the Tygers with a 12-7 lead over the Quakers heading into the second quarter.

New Philadelphia broke in front at the beginning of the final quarter with a 22-12 lead over Mansfield.

The Quakers held on with a 23-14 scoring edge in the final quarter.

Last season, Mansfield and New Philadelphia faced off on Sept. 20, 2024 at New Philadelphia High School.
