John Paul Huddle, 82, passed away on the 15th of June 2025, in Oviedo, Florida. John was born on the 24th of June 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio to Paul Clifford & Effie Jane (Essig) Huddle. He married Annabelle Ruth DeLong on the 19th of September 1965 in Mansfield, Ohio.
John attended high school at the Mount Carmel School in Jackson, KY with his brothers where he made several lifelong friends and graduated in 1960. He graduated from Asbury College in 1965 and then studied Radiology at Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in 1972. He went on to complete his D.O. residency with Aultman Hospital and then his M.D. internship with Aultman /Mercy Hospital.
John and Annabelle adopted two daughters Jennifer Joy and Julia Jeanne. The family moved frequently as John practiced as a Radiologist at various hospitals in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Iowa, North Dakota, and Nebraska before returning to Ohio to build their dream farm.
He served as the Director of the Richland Pregnancy enter for many years. He was a life-long member of the Nazarene Church and loved spreading the word and Light of Jesus wherever he went. He served in the Air Force where he retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Ohio Air National Guard 121st Air Refueling Wing.
John is survived by his wife Annabelle Ruth (Oviedo, FL); daughter Jennifer Joy Huddle-Lindauer (Orlando, FL), her husband Steven, and grandchildren Isabel, Zachary, Alli; Daughter Julia Jeanne Huddle-Wojciechowksi (Fredericktown, OH), her husband Isaac, and granddaughters Hoku-Lina and Marlie; Brother Raymond Huddle (Vero Beach, FL) and his wife Edna, brother Eugene Huddle (Rockwell, TX) and his wife Jane Hammond; sister Martha Denny (Hayesville, OH) and her husband James.
John was preceded in death by his parents Paul Clifford & Effie Jane Huddle (Butler OH); sister Carol Lynn Huddle (Butler OH); niece Lorena Huddle (Maryland); nephew James F. Denny, Jr. (Lakeville, OH).
Visitation services with the family will be held on Friday July 18th, 2025, from 2pm – 5pm at the Snyder Funeral Home Bellville-Butler Chapel located at 81 Mill Rd, Bellville, OH.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 19th, 2025, at 10:30am at the Clear Fork Alliance Church 1008 State Route 97, Bellville, OH 44813. His urn burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
