MANSFIELD: Harvey Orrie Yoha passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025. He was 88.

He was born on July 10, 1936 to the late Harry A. and Ruth M. (Gandert) Yoha in Mansfield, Ohio. Harvey was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Mansfield Senior High School in 1954, and retired from General Motors in 1998 after 43.8 years of working there as a Tool & Die Maker.

On April 2, 1982 Harvey married Patricia “Pat” George in Bellville, Ohio. Together they shared 43 wonderful years of laughter, love, and countless memories.
Harvey embraced life with enthusiasm and a love for new experiences that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. A devoted cruise enthusiast, he set sail on 13 voyages, always drawn to the turquoise waters and vibrant cultures of the Caribbean—his favorite destination. Gatlinburg, TN, was another of Harvey’s happy places, where he created countless cherished memories during decades of annual vacations. Though yard work wasn’t his forte, Harvey found a surprising sense of joy and accomplishment in mowing his lawn, taking pride in a job well done. His lifelong career at General Motors sparked a deep passion for cars, and he eagerly looked forward to the thrill of picking out a new ride every few years. These pursuits reflected Harvey’s zestful spirit and love for the finer, fun-filled moments of life.

He is survived by his loving wife Pat Yoha, children Lori (Randy Doyle) Holdren of South Carolina, Tim (Connie) Yoha of Oklahoma, Todd (Dawn) Yoha of Mansfield, Donalyn “Donie” (Woody Smith) Tanner of Mansfield, Dawn Wharton of Bellville, and Deb (Bobby) Wise of Bellville, grandchildren Josh (Traci) Wharton, Joe (Sarah) Wharton, Jessica (Eric) Woolwine, Matt (Alisha) Martinez, Brittany (Derrick Gatton) Wise, Brook (Warren) Berg, Phillip (Katie) Wharton, Sarah Wharton, Same Wise, Heath (Ashley Little) Yoha, Olivia (Andrew Axline) Tanner, and Rachel Wise, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild on the way, sister Pat (Denny) Martin, sisters-in-law Danielle Heidler, Jerrilyn (Garry) Potter, and Virginia Yoha, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
