On April 12, 2025, God welcomed his beloved daughter Karin Starbuck into his bosom to be with Him and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 78.

She was born on July 6, 1946 in Mansfield, Ohio to parents Dale and Jean (Mathews) Richardson. Karin spent the majority of her life in the Mansfield area and worked as a bookkeeper for various companies throughout her life. On December 8, 1990 she married the love of her life, Ken Starbuck, and the couple shared 34 wonderful years together.

A woman of quiet strength and deep compassion, Karin faithfully served her community and her church with unwavering dedication. A devoted member of Ontario United Methodist Church for over 34 years, she was deeply involved in many of its ministries, including the Quilting Guild, where she shared both her skill and her heart. Karin was also a proud member of her sorority, finding lifelong friendship and purpose in service. Her love for animals, especially dogs, was boundless—she was a passionate advocate for rescue efforts and opened her heart and home to many in need. Known for her sharp intellect and steady pragmatism, Karin faced life with grace and conviction, anchored by a strong and abiding faith in Christ. Above all, she will be remembered for her giant heart, her selfless spirit, and the quiet, steadfast way she made the world a better place.

Karin is survived by her loving husband Ken Starbuck, children Kim (Kevin) Taylor and Lincoln Starbuck, grandchildren Johnathon, Anna, Katie, Ethan, and Carson, niece Angela Richardson, nephew Alex Richardson, daughter-in-law Kathleen Starbuck, brothers-in-law Lee Kinsell and Mike Kinsell, best friends Sue Kidd, Penny Stone, Chris Smith, and Diane Jones, as well as many beloved church friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Margaret Richardson.
