MANSFIELD — Lexington has its work cut out today if it hopes to win its 4th straight team title at the 52nd annual J.C. Gorman Wrestling Tournament at Mansfield Senior High School.

Going into today’s semifinals, Lexington trails Sandusky Perkins, 117-104, in team scoring at the 28-team event. Making it more difficult, Perkins has nine wrestlers in the semifinals compared to just seven for Lexington.

Loudonville and Galion are tied for third with 64 points each. Among other Richland County schools, Clear Fork is 13th with 43.5 points, Madison is 14th with 42.5, Mansfield Senior is 15th with 36, Ontario is 21st with 29 and Shelby is 23rd with 22 points.

Semi-finals start at noon today. Finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
