Louise E. Kmetz, 91, of Mansfield passed away February 25, 2025 at Kingston of Ashland.
Louise was born December 23, 1933 in Mansfield to Joseph and Loretta Woolard Brucato. She attended St. Peter’s School and was a member of St. Peter’s Church where she attended Mass every Sunday. Louise worked for 20 years in housekeeping at Mansfield General Hospital. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing on her iPad, loved bird watching and plants, and watching old sitcoms such as Frazier and Everybody Loves Raymond along with Fox News and the Food Network. Louise was a great home cook and baker and she showed her love of family with delicious food and birthday cakes. In her younger years, she created and loved to cross-stitch, but her true love was time spent with her family.
Survivors include children: Andrea Kmetz of California, Georganne (Robert) Browne of Michigan, Gina (Guy) Lannan, Tony (Jill) Kmetz, Ken (Christina) Kmetz all of Mansfield; grandchildren: Spencer, Olivia, Nick and Cassidy, Kaitlin (Finn) and Jordan, Emily and Nick, Jake and Colin; great-granddaughter: Oona; sister Annette Payton of Mansfield, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Kmetz; and son Jay Kmetz.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Monday, March 3, 2025 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 60 S. Mulberry Street. Visitation will take place that day from 10:00am – 12:00pm at church. Burial will follow at Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Church.
