Precious Christine Joy Bister, age 81, entered into the presence of the Lord on February 22, 2025.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Christine’s life was defined by love, strength, and unwavering dedication to Jesus. She was blessed with two daughters and five grandchildren, each of whom she loved and prayed for fiercely. She shared that she prayed the Armor of God from Ephesians 6 over each of her grandchildren every day. She raised her children and influenced her grandchildren in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust Him always. She found meaning in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. A woman who found joy in making others happy, Christine showed generosity at every opportunity. She gave of her time and talent in prison ministry because of her passion to share hope through the Gospel. Her heart knew no limits when it came to sharing her resources with her beloved grandchildren. Her grandchildren were a blessing to her and she embraced every moment with them wholeheartedly. She had a gift for creating warmth and wisdom through her profound, yet simple phrases, along with memorized scripture. Christine leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, generosity, and amazing perseverance. Her spirit will live on in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Cheryl Faye Longnecker and Darla Kay (Jeff) Marlow, grandchildren Brielle (Nate) Donlan, Jareth Marlow, Delanee (Luke) Winer, Treyven Marlow, and Cassidee Marlow, her immediate family she loved so dearly, including her sisters Elaine Hinkle and Betsy Humphrey, and brother Dale (Peggy) Humphrey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bister.
A funeral service in Christine’s honor will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2025 at 1 pm at Heartland Church, 2505 Lexington-Springmill Rd S., Lexington, Ohio 44904.

Psalm 100
100 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
