MANSFIELD — Have you ever wanted to be transported to the Globe Theatre circa 1590 to see the works of Shakespeare in their prime?
Well this production is the closest you’re going to get. Join Tyler, Brett, and Gavin as they take on the most impossible task: performing all 37 works of the bard in 97 minutes.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Revised) (Again) opens on Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Expand your theatrical horizons by familiarizing yourself with the world’s greatest playwright.
Each performance of this show will be a night overflowing with tears of joy, tears of sadness, and tears of laughter resulting from an emotional rollercoaster as we move from Romeo and Juliet, to a mishmash of the comedies, back to the tragedies, to the histories performed a la football game, all the way to Hamlet.
Rachel Jarvis, director of this production says, “This cast is only three people, so each actor is responsible for many characters. It’s worth the ticket price just to see how the actors manage to keep everything straight. Also, how often do you get to see three adult men wear colorful tights?”
After all the time, effort, and energy the cast has put in, one might say that Tyler, Brett, and Gavin know the works of Shakespeare forward and backward (wink wink). We hope to see you all at the theatre for this fantastic production. May the bard be with you!
Show dates: Feb. 14, 15, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
Tickets $12 each and available at www.galiontheatre.org/tickets or by calling 419-468-2662
We thank our sponsors for helping to make this production possible. Our first production of the 2025 season is Presented by Crossroads Family of Companies with contributions from GBL Bank.
Without them, our season would not be possible, and what a season it is!
Next up at Galion Community Theatre is Legally Blonde in June which will be great for all of the dancers and prospective lawyers out there.
Following that is the annual youth production Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which is loveably campy and explores a lot of different musical genres.
Then, ending the 2025 season, is Kinky Boots where you can “just be who you want to be!”
