Theresa M. Hinkle, 59 of Mansfield passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
She was born at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Charles and JoAnna (nee Casasanta) Billingsley.
Theresa graduated from Whetstone High School in 1983. She went on to further her education and earned an associate’s degree in nursing in 1994 from North Central State College.
She married Gary Hinkle on June 8, 2002.
Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to always helping others. She has been employed since 1994 in home health care and volunteered to help with children with special needs. Theresa loved traveling to the beach and enjoyed visiting both Boston, Massachusetts and Hawaii. Theresa enjoyed playing euchre, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Mr. Gary Hinkle of Mansfield; her mother, JoAnna Smith of Ashland; her father, Charles (Katherine) Billingsley of Cleveland; her sons, Chris (Jaime) Puckett of Ashland and Tommy (Miranda) O’Toole of Ashland; her son-in-law, Kyle Carpenter of Ashland; grandchildren, Thomas, Zoey, Dustin, Xander, Emma, Carlee, Averi, Kristin (Will), Miley, Ryder, and Kinlee; a great grandson, Nash; extended family, Angie, Karen, Cynthia, Kim, Rachael, Krystal, Ashley, Morgan; Gary’s parents, Sandra K. Morini of Perrysburg and Gary Hinkle of Bonita Springs, Florida; and her brothers, Owen and Paul Billingsley of Glasgow, Scotland.
Theresa is preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Carpenter who passed from this life on October 3, 2024.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Trudy Bates presiding. Friends and family may visit two hours prior from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Associated Charities, 240 Cleveland Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
