John Edwin Hecht Jr., 79, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on December 23, 2024 at home. He was born on June 9, 1945 in Mansfield to the late John Edwin Hecht Sr. and Pearl Etzwiler. On October 23, 1971 he married Debra Susan Stone and together they shared 53 years of marriage.
John spent time throughout his life working as an auctioneer, at Rainbows End Antique Shop and his most proud achievement and job he had was in The United States Navy on the USS Enterprise. His hobbies included antiques and spending time with his grandchildren. John was special because he never knew a stranger. He could talk to any and everyone just like they had always been friends.
John leaves behind his wife Debra, sons; John (Monica) Hecht, Justin (Jennifer) Hecht, daughter; Tammy (Michael) McFerren, 6 grandchildren; Andrew Meadows, Destanie Hecht, Jessica and Justin Jr. Hecht, Austin and Ethan McFerren.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on January 18, 2025 2p-5p at the Butler Village Hall, located at, 111 W. Elm St., Butler, Ohio, 44822.
