Suzanne Herbst, age 66, died on December 13, 2024, two months after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Sue graduated from the Madison comprehensive high school in 1976 and the Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught for many years in the Mansfield city school system. She was very loved by her students as much as she loved them.
She has survived by her son, Heath (Emma Simila) McReynolds of Seattle, Washington, her daughter, Heather (Randy) Spencer of Ontario and her stepson, Sam (Amy) Musilli of Laramie, Wyoming; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mason McPeak and Mia Simila. In addition, she is survived by sisters, Kathy Herbst of Cincinnati, Patti (John) Elswick of Mansfield and Paula (Kerry) Drake of Canal Winchester and brothers, John of Alexandria, Terry (Kelly) of Columbus, Joe of Mansfield and Matt of Heath. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elaine Herbst and her sister, Diane (Denny) Davis of Columbus.
A memorial service of her immediate family will be held this summer.
