Kelly Ann Reinmann, 64
Kelly Ann Reinmann, 64 of Ashland passed away on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born on January 8, 1960 in Sandusky the daughter of D. James and Margaret (née Polta) Green.
Kelly graduated from St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, Class of 1978. She went on to further her education and earned a bachelor’s degree of education from Bowling Green State University in 1982.
She married the love of her life, Gregg Reinmann on August 7, 1982. Kelly began her teaching career in special education for educable, mentally disabled children. After moving to Ashland in 1991, she taught 6th grade at St. Edward School in Ashland, retiring in 2018.
She was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed, reading, crocheting, knitting, taking walks, and swimming in her pool. Most of all she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Kelly fought for many years against cancer; and what held her together was a loving family and prayer, gave her the strength to keep fighting.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Gregg Reinmann of Ashland; her father, D. James Green of Sandusky; her children, Alex (Amy) Reinmann of Grove City, Samuel (Jenny) Reinmann of Huber Heights, Maggie (Zach Walker) Reinmann of Dublin; five grandchildren, Charlie, Elsie, and Gabby Reinmann, and Clara and Henry Reinmann; two brothers, Jimmy (Amy) Green of Castalia and Jon (Annie) Green of Huron; and many wonderful nieces and nephews as well.
Kelly is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Green; and one grandchild, Baby Walker in April of this year.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Rod Kreidler presiding. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at the conclusion of the visitation led by the Knights of Columbus. For both services guests are encouraged to wear an item of clothing with the color green or to wear a special coat, Kelly always loved a great coat.
